1. I've recently purchased JAMIT fractions, but when I opened the Welcome.html file, it was the same as the free version.

Please click  "Refresh" or "Reload" button  on your browser.

The full version of the Welcome.html file looks almost the same - but the links to the lessons are underlined, and the dummy lessons are replaced by the real ones with practice games. If any of the lessons you opened looks like a dummy, please click the "Refresh" or "Reload" button again. And you can do the same when loading for the first time the new version of a practice game.

Why does this happen?

This is because your web browser saved the old files and loads them from its own folders instead from where you placed them. To avoid these problems for the future, you should change your browser settings.

On Explorer:

  1. Select "Tools" from the menu, then go to "Internet Options..."
  2. The window with several Tabs at the bottom shows. You should be on the first page, called "General" (if not click on the "General" tab at the left top side).
  3. Now go to the panel "Temporary Internet files" and press the button "Settings..".
  4. Choose to "check for newer versions of stored pages "every time you start Internet Explorer"
  5. Press OK to save the options and close windows.

On Netscape:

  1. Select "Edit" from the menu, then go to "Preferences..."
  2. On the left side of the window select the category Advanced - Cache (find the word Advanced at the bottom, click on the + to expand it, and click on the word "Cache".
  3. Go to the bottom of the right side of the window and choose compare the document in the cache with the document on the network once per session.
