2. When I try to run a test or a practice game the computer comes up with an illegal operation message. The message starts with
"IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in module MSJAVA.DLL at "

The problem is with your Internet Explorer, which cannot load properly the JAVA
Virtual Machine. This is a program which browser needs to run JAVA applets.

There could be different reasons why it happens.

  1. It could be an error during installation or corrupted file during download.
  2. It may be other program, for example NetZip
  3. It could be your Internet provider (CompuServe or AOL) installing their
bits on the top of Explorer.
  4. Your version of JAVA VM and browser (Explorer) are not compatible.

THE SOLUTIONS:

  1. If you have NetZip installed, contact the company who made it and ask for
help (or follow Microsoft solution at
    http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q195/7/62.ASP?LNG=ENG&SA=PE
    R&FR=0
  2. If you have your browser installed from your Internet provider, ask them
for help - I am sure they have ready step by step solution.
  3. RECOMMENDED SOLUTION:
If none of the above is true, go to
    http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/iebuild/msnie5/en/msn.asp and download
the newest version of Explorer - and do not try to customize it.
  4. If you have problems with step 3 (the computer may display similar error
as you had when you tried to run my applets) or if you want to reload only
JAVA Virtual Machine, you may try the following instructions (but this
should be done by somebody who is a bit more illiterate with computers - you
may be OK if you exactly follow step by step)

    a. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.

    b. Double-click the Windows folder, and then double-click the Downloaded
    Program Files folder.

    c. Remove the DirectAnimation Java Classes file. To do so, click the file,
and then click Remove Program File on the File menu.

    d. Repeat step 3 to remove the following files in the Downloaded Program
    Files folder:

    Internet Explorer Classes for Java
    Microsoft XML Parser For Java
    Win32 Classes

    and then restart your computer:

    e. Download and install the latest version of the Java VM from the following
    Microsoft Web site:
